Server based computing (SBC) has several kinds of its system. Image forwarding type: Entry information of keyboard or mouse from client side is sent to server side and OS/application is executed on server side, while its image data is being sent to client. NetBoot type: OS image is booked via network and use application on client side. Virtual PC type: Install multiple numbers of client OS on server. Thin client is mainly used as client device for SBC
No storage as HDD exists in a device
As no storage exists, information leak is prohibited in case for theft or loss.
All application are managed on server
User uses applications installed on server. Troubles occurred by users installing whatever applications on their devices can be prevented.
Power consumption is remained to 1/2 - 1/8
With lower power consumption, thin client contributes to prevention of global warming. It is an environmentally-friendly device.
